In this article the subject of gay marriage has came up at a tea party. Republicans don’t favor ideas like same-sex marriage unless there is a very persuading reason for agreeing to it. For the cachet or document to be purchased or agreed to then it has to go through Hollywood or victory. But in politics victory is very hard to achieve.

In Amendment I: Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The constitution clearly states that every citizen should have the right to peaceably assemble and of expression. This makes it right for people who are attracted to the opposite sex to marry them if they want to. The constitution agrees with this and others who oppose have no say in the decision. Gay marriage may be nasty or disrespectful to some people but their opinion doesn’t matter in this case. The government is allowing gay sex marriage and is also listening to the arguments opposed to it.

I feel as if gay marriage is a good idea because if you don’t allow it then it’s like your controlling how people think and feel. If they have feelings for the same sex and want to take on the responsibility of having a long lasting relationship then let them be. You dont have to deal with it so let them. Everybody doesn’t think and feel the same way.
